Quiet study spaces are for faculty and students to focus on their coursework or research. Quiet spaces include individual study rooms and open study space on Quiet floors.

Quiet Study Spaces can be found on the Main Floor in the Brown Silent Reading Room and St. Jerome Room, and on the 2nd Floor of the Doherty Library in the West Wing.

Main Floor

  • Brown Silent Reading Room – Tables & Chairs, Soft Seating

  • St. Jerome Room – Individual Study Carrels

2nd Floor – West Wing

  • Individual Study Carrels

Basement

  • Open study space designed for moderately loud collaboration

  • Note: The main basement study area is not a quiet study space. If you are looking for a quiet place to study, please use the Main Floor quiet spaces or the 2nd Floor West Wing.

  • Exception: The small study area near the basement classrooms is designated as a quiet study space.
