Whether you’re a born artist or a creative novice, you’ll find an inspiring environment for expressing your talent at UST. Through a partnership with the acclaimed Glassell School of Art, teaching institute of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, UST offers a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts degree.
Master the techniques of your chosen discipline – drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking or jewelry making – and learn from professional artists in the top tier of the Houston art community. Hone your craft in a stunning 93,000-square-foot building featuring state-of-the-art classrooms, gallery presentation spaces and a unique sculpture garden.
In the Professional Practices course, you’ll learn how to present yourself for opportunities as a professional artist. With the school’s connection to the Museum of Fine Arts, you’ll study the work of the masters, enjoying a complimentary museum pass and visiting regularly for class field trips.
