Maria McCain, associate professor of Dance and Director of Dance, holds an MFA in Dance from Belhaven University. Her areas of research and expertise include teaching, choreographing, and performing dance through the lens of Catholic-Christian themes such as Theology of the Body and Catholic consecrated life. Before employment with UST, she worked, taught, and performed full-time for dance organizations in the Houston area such as Houston Ballet, Houston MET Dance, and Ad Deum Dance Company, where she currently choreographs in their Mentorship program. She hopes that God would use her to bring about lasting impact in her students and on the arts community, and she feels so thankful to be leading the Dance program at UST.
