Student Success Centers are targeted areas at UST built to help nuture you and enhance your student experience.  Sprinkled across academic disciplines and student interest groups, these centers provide the resources you need to thrive.

Celt Success Center

The Celt Success Center is the place for UST students to receive support. We provide comprehensive services that focus on good behaviors and habits that contribute to academic success. We also share with students the many campus resources at their fingertips. The Celt Success Center offers one-on-one success coaching, peer mentorship opportunities, student workshops, referrals to on-campus resources, general printing, poster printing, free textbook and laptop loaner programs, among many other services.

Nursing Success Center

The Nursing Success Center promotes academic success, personal well-being, and a strong sense of community in a Catholic liberal arts setting.  Services include peer-to-peer tutoring, collaborative and individual study spaces, a donated book loan program, daily printing, and support for academic progression and advising. In close partnership with the Office of  Counseling Services, the center also offers nursing support groups, along with a welcoming coffee lounge and access to a fridge, microwave, and utensils.

Veteran Success Center

From personalized academic coaching and career counseling to veteran-specific programming, the Veterans Success Center team understands the unique challenges and opportunities facing veteran students. We are committed to providing guidance and resources needed to achieve a veteran student’s academic and professional goals. We are proud to offer a place where Veterans can call home—a dedicated lounge, study spaces, a full kitchen, as well as a coffee lounge for our military-connected students daily.

STEM Success Center

The STEM Success Center is focused on promoting a sense of belonging for our students. With the connection of faith and reason as top of mind, student success in STEM programs is vital to the academic prowess at UST, so we prioritize academic excellence and student retention. Exploration and curiosity are celebrated among the sciences at UST. The STEM Success Center is comprised of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Math and Computer Science, and Engineering Success Centers.

Engineering Success Center

The Engineering Success Center empowers engineering and physics students to reach their full potential through personalized mentorship and professional development. Rooted in the Basilian core values of UST, we cultivate a community where students grow in goodness, discipline, knowledge and community. We prepare students to excel academically and serve society as ethical and responsible engineers.

Pragmatic Academic Success Coaching

As an incoming Pragmatic Studies student, you will be a part of the tradition of excellence at UST. Rooted in Catholic social teaching, our programs are unique because they are inclusive and designed specifically for students that learn differently. We prepare advancement in your knowledge, while learning critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our success coaches are very hands-on to help our neurodivergent students thrive at St. Thomas.

Interested but need to learn more?  Fill out our Interest Form!

Ready to sign up? Log into the UST Housing Portal and follow these steps:

  1. Pay the $300 security deposit and sign the housing agreement.
  2. Choose a roommate and a room!
  3. Submit your immunizations in order to move in.
