Announcements for when applications are open to apply are sent out early spring by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Scholarships are available to apply for online in the spring at https://stthom.academicworks.com. Awards are granted by the end of the semester and funds are made available for the following fall and spring semesters. Murdy Scholarship
Requirements:
- Must have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan
- Must have a 3.0 GPA
- Must be enrolled in 9 semester credit hours
- Must be degree seeking
- Must have received an Honorable Discharge
Wing Scholarship
Requirements:
- Must have a 2.0 GPA
- Must be degree seeking
- Must have received an Honorable Discharge
Strake Scholarship
Requirements:
- Must have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, or are currently Active Duty in the Armed Forces, or are the spouse or child of a Post 9/11 veteran, or are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces
- Must have a 3.0 GPA
- Must be enrolled in 14 semester credit hours
- Must be degree seeking
- Must have received an Honorable Discharge
Celtic Valor Scholarship
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a minimum 2.5 GPA; including fall semester of current school year.
- Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester credit hours; Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester credit hours.
- Candidates must submit two (2) letters of recommendation from someone who can attest to the applicant’s character and/or any experiences they have had with the applicant.
- Candidates must be serving or have served (National Guard/Reserves and/or Active Duty) in any branch of service and submit proof of service (e.g. a copy of their DD214, discharge (honorable) documents etc.).
- Candidates must answer required questions (see essay requirements) using any form of media desired. *please see Celtic Valor Scholarship application for essay questions
Luanne and Commander Steve Bozeman JAGC, USN (Ret). Scholarship
Requirements:
- Must have a 2.0 GPA
- Must be degree seeking
- Must have received an Honorable Discharge
Health Professional Scholarship Program
This external scholarship, through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), provides financial assistance to students receiving education or training in a direct or indirect health-care services discipline; and assists in providing an adequate supply of such personnel for the VA.
