Welcome to UST Residence Life! We are committed to helping you make UST your home away from home. Living on campus is safe, convenient, and fun, and our team can help you pick a dorm situation that suits you. Our halls are monitored by security personnel, close to your classes and resources, and full of community events. Large cities like Houston come with a lot of traffic, and you deserve to spend your time studying and making friends, rather than on the road!

Ready to sign up? Log into the UST Housing Portal and follow these steps:
- Pay the $300 security deposit and sign the housing agreement.
- Choose a roommate and a room!
- Submit your immunizations in order to move in.

Your Celt Journey
Student life at the University of St. Thomas is rooted in forming the whole person—intellectually, culturally, ethically and spiritually—within our vibrant and welcoming community. Since academic life at UST extends beyond the classroom, living on campus gives students the opportunity to attend lectures on campus, engage in campus events, exercise at the JAAC, attend the Mass time of their choice, and create community with housemates and peers.
Coming Fall 2028
UST builds new residence hall
UST broke ground on a new residence hall on June 12, 2026. The new building will provide housing for approximately 400 additional students, doubling the capacity of available student housing on campus. The nearly 100,000-square-foot, five-story residence hall will include a variety of modern living spaces, study and collaboration spaces, lounge areas, an outdoor courtyard and a chapel.
