For Such a Time as This: Interfaith Dialogue and Nostra Aetate 60 Years Later

December 2, 2026
4:00 PM
Ballroom at Bayou Place

We warmly invite you to join us on Wednesday, December 2, 2026 at the Ballroom at
Bayou Place for a special evening dedicated to interfaith dialogue and collaborative
inquiry into the enduring meaning of Nostra Aetate, the Second Vatican Council’s
declaration on the relationship between the Church and other faith traditions.
For Such a Time as This: Interfaith Dialogue and Nostra Aetate 60 Years Later is
presented by the Nesti Center for Faith and Culture in partnership with our friends at
the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League and the Three Amigos
Foundation.

The evening will begin with a distinguished panel discussion featuring Abdullah
Antepli, President of Rothko Chapel, Rabbi David Lyon from Congregation Beth Israel
and Fr. Donald S. Nesti, founder of the Nesti Center for Faith & Culture.

Following the panel discussion and a reception, there will be an opportunity to break
bread together at a seated dinner which will include cultural music and renowned
guest speaker and philosopher, Robert P. George of Princeton University. Professor
George has chaired the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom and
served on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

The panel discussion and reception are complimentary. Proceeds from the Dinner will directly
support the Nesti Center’s mission, funding future public programming, including
lectures, symposiums and seminars, and student scholarships to form
and educate future leaders.

We are deeply grateful for your continued generosity and support of faith-informed
dialogue. We look forward to welcoming you on December 2nd.  For more information and tickets, please click the button below.
