Dr. Sommer is a native Houstonian who returned to UST to teach in 2005. He specializes in the Old Testament and has interests in Wisdom Literature, Hebrew Poetry, and the Question of the Canon. He is also interested in the Theology of the Sacraments. His current research project focuses on the poetic structure of the Psalms.
