Christian F. Sandoval Pauker is an incoming Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of St. Thomas. His research integrates computational chemistry, catalysis, and materials science to develop sustainable solutions for environmental remediation and chemical synthesis. His work combines density functional theory (DFT), machine learning, and high-throughput computational screening to uncover design principles for catalysts and functional materials. Dr. Sandoval Pauker earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso and completed a J. Evans Attwell Welch Postdoctoral Fellowship at Rice University. He has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications, is an inventor on patent applications, and is committed to engaging undergraduate students in computational research that bridges theory and experiment.
