Dr. Maynard is both an academic psychologist and a practicing clinical psychologist. She regularly teaches undergraduate courses in General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology/Psychopathology, Counseling and Psychotherapy, Human Growth and Development, and Theories of Personality. As a psychologist of religion, her research focuses on the relationships among religion, coping, and prejudice. She is the author of multiple peer-reviewed publications and the author/editor of three book-length professional works. She regularly presents workshops to mental health professionals in the U.S. and abroad.
