Dr. Owen C. Dorsey is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of St. Thomas. He earned his Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Texas A&M University. His research integrates behavioral experiments, genomics, and evolutionary theory to investigate how kinship, social familiarity, and interactions between species shape mate choice, hybridization, and the evolution of species boundaries. As an educator, Dr. Dorsey is committed to inclusive, student-centered teaching and to engaging undergraduates in authentic scientific inquiry.
