Sr. Theresa Marie Chau Nguyen is a Dominican Sister of Mary Immaculate Province (Houston, Texas) and Associate Professor of Theology at the University of St. Thomas. Her scholarship focuses on Ecclesiology, Mariology, and the theology of Henri de Lubac, S.J., with particular interest in the ressourcement theology of the Second Vatican Council. She is the author of The Splendor of the Church in Mary (Catholic University of America Press, 2023). Her work has appeared in both scholarly and popular journals, including Marian Studies, Newman Studies Journal, Texas Catholic Herald, Maria: A Journal of Marian Studies, and Verbum: Časopis pre kresťanskú kultúru.

A dedicated educator, Sr. Nguyen is deeply committed to the intellectual, spiritual, and ethical formation of her students. Her courses in systematic theology emphasize the integration of doctrine and spirituality, often drawing upon lived experience to help students connect theological truths with daily life. She also serves as faculty advisor to UST’s pro-life student organization, Celts For Life, and regularly speaks on topics of Christian doctrine, spirituality, and discipleship. In addition, she contributes to university service through roles on the Faculty Awards Committee and the Campus Enrollment Committee, as well as through undergraduate academic advising.
