Dr. Livia Merrill is an Associate Professor of Psychology. She earned her Ph.D. in Developmental, Cognitive, and Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Houston and has taught courses in Child Development, Research Methods, Cognitive Psychology, and Physiological Psychology. Her research examines how early life experiences, including prenatal stress and adversity, influence brain and behavioral development across the lifespan. Dr. Merrill is passionate about creating an engaging, evidence-based learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful connections between psychological science and everyday life.
