Whether you aspire to work in digital media, broadcasting, journalism, corporate communications, public relations, or other media-related fields—or want to explore how communication influences culture, relationships, and technology—the Communication Program at the University of St. Thomas offers a place for both creators and scholars.
Rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition, the program invites you to study communication from multiple perspectives: as an art, a science, and a moral practice. You’ll analyze media and culture, examine how messages shape meaning, and gain hands-on experience through coursework, internships, and extracurricular activities in writing, design, film, and production. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your written and oral communication, critical thinking, and creative skills—preparing you to communicate with clarity, originality, and purpose in your career and in the broader world.
