About the Program
Business Majors
Accounting
Often called the language of business, accounting is a critical business discipline. Every organization relies on an expert to transform financial information into a format that’s easy to understand. If you’re an organized, detailed-oriented problem-solver who enjoys working with numbers, accounting may be a great choice for you.
Economics
Every business relies on effective management of resources to thrive. Economics professionals analyze data, monitor trends, and develop forecasts to help companies make smart business decisions.
If you’re an organized, persuasive thinker who enjoys working with data, economics may be a good choice for you.
Finance
Finance is the lifeblood of any business. Finance professionals keep a business running smoothly by analyzing data, forecasting, and financial planning. If you’re a detailed-oriented problem-solver with a knack for managing resources wisely, finance may be the right field for you.
International Business
The Bachelor of International Business is offered through a joint partnership between the Cameron School of Business and the Center for International Studies, the longest-running center of its kind in Houston. People are more connected than ever before, with access to products and services from around the world. As an international business major, you’ll become well-versed in cross-continental trade and transactions. If you’re business-minded and fascinated by other countries, international business could be the perfect choice for you.
Marketing & Management
Management and marketing are two dynamic disciplines that can make or break a company. Management is setting strategy to accomplish business goals, and marketing is attracting customers. Both are essential to an organization’s growth and success. If you’re a visionary thinker with a strategic mindset, management or marketing may be right for you.
In our BBA in Management, tailor your education to your specific interests by picking one of our 4 concentrations: General Business, Human Resource Management, Information Management, or Business of Gaming.
Five-Year Dual Degree Programs
If you’re ambitious, the five-year BBA/MBA or BBA/MSF degrees are a very attractive option. Your senior year, you’ll take undergrad and graduate courses concurrently. Learn the fundamentals of business and build upon them with advanced graduate studies. For currently enrolled BBA students who wish to enter the 5-year BBA/MBA or BBA/MSF programs to receive both an undergraduate and graduate degree, please contact csbaction@stthom.edu or call 713-525-2100 to make sure you have all the prerequisites necessary to enter the program.
