Celt Student Success
The Division of Student Success at the University of St. Thomas aids students in navigating all that comes with college life—academics, grades, schedules, and more. Students are encouraged to engage with our Celt Success Coaches if they need someone to talk to, need help figuring out a plan for tests, to make a connection for tutoring, or just to relax in a space where someone asks how you are actually doing. Our division has got you covered!
We offer:
- Success Coaching — one-on-one conversations with a coach who knows your name
- Academic Advising — select classes together for each semester
- Food Pantry — food provided to students—no questions asked.
- Tutoring — struggling with the Core classes or anything else? Reach out to your success coach or visit the Tutorial Services Center to get the tutoring help you need.
You do not have to be in crisis to reach out. You do not have to have it figured out before you come talk to us. Just email us at ssc@stthom.edu.

A place to get the help you need
Celt Student Center
The Celt Success Center is a physical place on campus for UST students to receive support. Located at 3900 Montrose Blvd., right next to Link Lee Mansion, we provide comprehensive services that focus on good behaviors and habits that contribute to academic success.
We also share with students the many campus resources at their fingertips. The Celt Success Center offers one-on-one success coaching, peer mentorship opportunities, student workshops, referrals to on-campus resources, general printing, poster printing, free textbook and laptop loaner programs, among many other services.

Tools for support at UST
EdSights and Watermark
UST provides two tools built to support students.
- Meet Lenny the Cat: your check-in companion (powered by EdSights)
Our Celt lion mascot, Lenny, will send students a text message every so often to ask how things are going. Lenny wants to know how students are doing in their classes. Students answers are read by real people at UST who follow up and connect students to the right resource. Honest answers from students help UST support them. - Watermark: your go-to for appointments and support
Watermark is the platform students use to schedule appointments with success coaches, ask for support, and read notices from faculty. Think of it as a students’ success hub, available whenever they need it.
How they work together
- Lenny checks in with students. Students get a text and reply honestly.
- Watermark lets students reach out. Download the app so you can have easy access to this important tool!
