In the classroom, Dr. Erdem focuses on building practical, technology-driven skills.
He teaches Accounting Information Systems, Managerial Accounting, Principles of Accounting, and Data Analytics, integrating tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, UIPath, and n8n to prepare students for a profession increasingly shaped by AI and automation. He developed the Data Analytics for Accounting and Finance course at UST. His teaching evaluations consistently exceed 4.5/5.0. Dr. Erdem is a Faculty Ambassador for the Texas Society of CPAs, an Alteryx SparkED Verified Educator, and was nominated for the Saint Thomas Aquinas Excellence in Teaching Award in 2024-2025.
